Auction Biography: Captain Calvin Pitts

We are honored to present this estate auction in memory of Captain Calvin Pitts of Sadieville, Kentucky. Captain Pitts led an extraordinary life marked by remarkable achievements, global adventures, and a steadfast commitment to service.

A seasoned pilot for over 40 years, Captain Pitts personally owned several aircraft and contributed extensively to the aviation industry. His impressive career included roles as a commercial pilot for Delta Airlines and DHL Worldwide. He also served as an aviation consultant at the Pentagon and conducted experimental test flights during his time with NASA. Highly respected in his field, Mr. Pitts was a keynote speaker at NASA and numerous aviation conventions, earning admiration from his peers for decades.

Captain Pitts combined his passion for aviation with a dedication to education. He spent time as a teacher at the seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and also at a Bible college in Oklahoma. His love for learning extended to language as well; he was a fluent speaker of several languages and a seasoned world traveler.

Among his many accolades, Captain Pitts was honored to complete the 50-year commemorative flight retracing Wiley Post's historic around-the-world journey. His accomplishments were recognized in National Geographic and prominent national newspapers.

Beyond his professional success, Captain Pitts was a generous and charitable man, dedicating considerable time and resources to churches, religious organizations, and various charitable causes. He was also a certified aviation engineer, entrusted with the authority to ground any aircraft in his airline's fleet to ensure safety.

Captain Pitts had a passion for collecting unique antiques and rare items, which will be featured in this special auction. His legacy of excellence, generosity, and adventure will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on all who knew him.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Captain Calvin Pitts through this exclusive estate auction.
